Dec. 26th, 2009 09:29 pmJust a couple of Yuletide recs before bedtime:
Princess Tutu: Happily Ever After Every Now And Then. This. Is the Tutu fic I think I would've wanted to write if I ever felt ballsy enough to do Tutu fic. Princess Tutu after the series, set in a Germany about to topple into World War II. It is seamless. (And can I get a 'hell yeah' out of remembering that everyone in Princess Tutu is German? I want a 'hell yeah everyone in Princess Tutu is German' also implying that the school setting was clearly at university level because...yeah, yeah) Of all the 'and then..." fics I've read this is probably one of my new favorites. (my other favorite is
canis_m's, must find it again)
Dragon's Bait: A Dragon's Tale. No one else in the world is going to know what this is from, but I don't care. It's Dragon's Bait fic. Dragon's Bait was this very short novella by Vivian Van Velde that was one of my favorite books ever in middle school. I SHIPPED ALYS AND SELENDRILE BEFORE I KNEW WHAT SHIPPING WAS. And if anyone else had read this book, they would've too. Thus establishing my stupidly uncomfortable love for dragon/girl (or dragon/guy) pairings. Oh, hush. Go read the book.
