A strange revelation.
Sep. 19th, 2003 11:38 pmI am not a gamer. This is not so much by choice but more by an old parental law that decreed that nothing remotely resembling a game system pass through our doors. The most my brother and I were ever allowed was a gameboy, and that was a victory of it's own mostly due to a trip to Paris and the need to give my brother something like a big kid pacifier. I never minded all that much-- easy to understand my parent's reasoning, but I always wondered what I was missing. And tonight I just realized that I am eighteen, I do indeed have some of my earnings from the summer left over, and I could in fact buy a PS2 in good conscience (ie. without wondering how the hell to sneak it past my parents.)
...This is that freedom thing they're always talking about, isn't it?
