Nov. 27th, 2009 09:49 pmSomeone has clearly been reccing my old Naruto fanfiction around again, because all at once FF.net is sending me a new slew of reviews and favorites notifications, the likes of which have grown sort of amusing and embarrassing in the way that any evidence of things you did in high school might be really embarrassing. (note to all of you who will see this post and go find these stories on ff.net: they are old and ridiculous) At the same time I can't say I quite resent them as they were the first time I ever had the stones to post anything I wrote in a VERY public forum, even if that public forum was the internet under an assumed name, and even though that 'anything I wrote' was nonsensical ninja slash. The fact that these stories are so ancient in fandom years just leads to hilarity, like when I get reviews telling me I got Kakashi's backstory all wrong--nevermind I wrote the story about Kakashi like, four years before the manga ever got to his backstory.
This time someone's reviewed telling me I should have put The House Guests under the Lee x Sakura classification. Since they are VERY CLEARLY the pairing I am pushing for in this fic.
...well, reviewer. Yes. Mayhaps I should have. And mayhaps I would have, if ff.net had even HAD those features when I posted it. And if the Naruto section had had more than eighty stories at that time. Which it didn't, as The Golden Rule was the 69th fic in the archive for awhile. This was a fact I was inordinately proud of at the time because, let us remember, I WAS IN HIGHSCHOOL.
