I haven't done one of these for awhile, and I'm bored, and I feel a need to be productive about something therefore. Ficbit request time! Hi, I've been rec'd here by nekokoban, but have not yet commented because I'm a bad person. Um, how about after ch 181 in Bleach with Byakuya wanting Renji and Rukia to get it on already so he can have some peace and quiet.

When she bowed and sat across from him, he arched his brow, arranged his fingers in his lap, and said to her: “…I suppose you saw no use for that door.”

Rukia choked on her drink with prompt obedience. “Ah, brother that—“ She put a hand on her chest, to smooth her breathe out. “…you saw.” She dabbed at her lips delicately.

“I saw that repairs seem to be underway very nicely.”

“They’re slow in the summer,” she muttered, immediately. After a moment her eyes softened. “...which is to be expected,” she allowed.

Such were the small symptoms of the greater change of heart.

…and not that Byakuya didn’t find this perfectly fascinating, but other matters were at hand. He watched her sip her tea with recovered poise. “As are your apparent prejudices against my house?”

She nearly coloured. “Brother--”

“And your apparent choice in guests.”

“…it wasn’t meant as an insult to you!”

“And your particular ideas of loveplay.”

“It was entirely accidental---what.” The cup slipped from her fingers. Its contents spilled on the floor and on her leg in a mostly ignored mess. “…c-come again…” she said, palely.

Byakuya stood smoothly, master over the scrape of bandages he still felt over his throat and chest as he moved. To his charge, he turned his head. “If you would, Rukia,” he pronounced, stepping past her and towards the sliding doors that hadn’t yet been smashed. “The next time, invite him to your quarters and not our hallways.”

OMG yay! This is so wonderful. Just the image of Renji and Rukia doing things in the hallway and Byakuya finding them like that... genius. I love all three of them so much, and this is just a wonderful little look into the may-be.
