spank that new years baby

Ah, guess I'm a day late for the BIG UNMASKING? Oh well. HARK! TIS I who wrote [livejournal.com profile] yuletide story Gerda and the Snow Queen for [livejournal.com profile] ave_eva. Which is rough in places that still make me wince, but overall I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and glad that my recipient enjoyed. ♥

Meanwhile, because my f-list is doing it and I wanna be one of the cool kids: New Years Request Meme. Standard flavor this time. You know how this goes: name a fandom/pairing/characters and I write you a story of dubious drabble status to the best of my ability provided said request does not destroy my brain.

Basically though this fic I sort of realized that if Sora were to become a dragon in one of his worldhopping adventures, he would basically be exactly the same.

(and I had a horrible moment of taking this whole concept seriously when I remembered that Sora comes with all of this King imagery through the course of the game, and if you want to get really cracked out you could argue he dethroned an improper tyrant and established himself as keeper of all kingdoms (kiiiingdom heeeeartsssss) and thus, someone...technically worthy of a celestial in status... oh god stopping now.)

I would be making encouraging noises, except I'm afraid I'm too busy laughing at you. <3

(In a dragony Kingdom Hearts AU following the narrative curves of a romance novel or epic slash fic, Riku would of course be the punkass bitch son and heir of landed gentry -- cf. Lord Allendale -- who is saved by the love of a good baby dragon ...

Anyway to be srs, Sora isn't Chinese anyway. A Japanese dragon? I seem to recall Novik refers to Japanese breeds at least once, but we're not given any sort of detail on them.)
