I had a dream the other night that somehow morphed into a massive on crack Shaman King/Naruto crossover. Involving the Kyubi escaping, but somehow not being able to take on solid form yet, and--apparently it was sick of Naruto's body or something--moving to posess the nearest poor unfortunate soul. Which happened to be Tao Ren. Who then proceeded to go completely batshit--the whole thing involved Yoh, and a buncha Leaf nins teaming up to stop him! Oh, the drama! And there were flashbacks! (mostly Kiba, Shikamaru, and Naruto. Remembering this weird adventure they got into in their widdle academy days, I think.) There was death. Specifically a lot of the kunoichi, Neji, possibly Tamao, and Manta I think. Except apparently none of them stayed dead, because Ino, despite wandering around a good deal of the time as a very disoriented spirit, somehow managed to wake up and save the day while Kyubi!Ren was squaring off with Naruto using some of her good old mind transfer skills. First posessing Naruto, and then...I'm not sure, apparently something involving a kind of mental kawarimi. Either way, highly risky and it dragged the Kyubi out kicking and screaming. Incidently? Naruto sans Kyubi? A VERY VERY exhausted Naruto, and missing his whiskers. Ren avec Kyubi? SCARY AS HELL. And able to trounce half of the bloody cast of both series without even trying. Big dramatic scene towards the end of him standing on some windblown stetch of grass, eyes bright red and the 'tails' whirling around him, waiting for a fight.

I woke up thinking 'SWEET!'

...Then I wondered what the hell I'd eaten. And why there was no Horohoro. Or Jun. Or ANNA. Damnit brain. This is you telling me I need to watch more Shaman King isn't it?
