Dear Anima, Magus Sisters, and Yojimbo:

You're all MY bitches now.

...even if you still scare me, Anima. But uh, at least you're not BLEEDING anymore like in your 'fiends go SQUISH' cutscene geez. And somehow you're just a lot purdier when you're unleashing Oblivion on the OTHER guys (and I wonder, that supposed to be Animus there? With the horns and the chainbreaking and snarling?) Also, your Fayth is hot and I am aware of exactly how wrong it is to say that. I hereby name you the Goth Aeon. And summon you against Cactaurs because IT AMUSES ME.

That is all.

I loved Anima too. It was my inner goth speaking to me. I would have been goth in HS, except I was too damn lazy. (BTW, I wonder why no one figured out that Seymour was not quite right in the head, if that was his personal summon)

You got, right, that that's his mother? It's her picture chained around Anima's neck, she who chose to die to make him more powerful. Given his family, it's really more of a wonder he's as sane as he is -- Bevelle must have been blinded to the honking great big warning signs just to let him in the gates.

"Mother... what have you done? MOTHERRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

Ladies and gentlemen, Maester Seymour in Hitchcock's masterpiece, Psycho.

Yep. If you really think about the story, too, you have to wonder about *her* sanity as well. Taking a eight-year old kid on the mission of certain death? Sounds like sound parenting practices.

I don't know, with all that talk of Spira being obsessed with death and the general attitude of the teachings of its main faith being eternal repentance and Death By Manatee, Anima probably fits in very well. Though true, how you can trust a man whose summon's special attack involves groaning and writhing at the enemy baffles me.

My girlfriend, when she got Anima, renamed her Fluffy. For the record.

Death by Manatee? It always looked like a gigantic whale to me. But you'd have to figure that the chains and the bondage would look a bit suspicious. It's too bad that I couldn't rename the attack "Angst."

I'll have you know that I didn't like Seymour from the moment I first saw him. I mean, c'mon! That hair? Give me a break! Blue hair that sticks out to there-- sure sign of a bad guy.

Actually, though, my favorite aeon was Shiva. Just because.
