14_lyrics theme #2! “Hey, Chad.” Sharp voice from behind. “Bend down a sec, will ya?”
“Hm?” Chad pulls one earphone off, then the other, blinking through the lank of his bangs. On the hot sidewalk, Kurosaki Ichigo carries himself little like a lone gunman: his elbows at a jut, thumbs hooked over non-existent holsters.
Chad nods. He bends at the waist ‘till their heads are level, looking up in askance; like that?
“Yeah,” says Ichigo, who plants a hand on his shoulder and vaults himself up. “Now--”
And Chad stands.
“Woah." A near stumble. “Hey, thanks.”
And Chad wraps his hands around his ankles. “You’re…?” he begins, uncertainly.
“Checking the view,” says his friend, very simply. “You get the free high rise. It’s kinda cool.”
And at this point Ichigo bends himself so that his head is upside down and his blonde hair is fanning a bit and he’s grinning. “Get me a butterfly net. I think I could catch that plane.”
“Mm?”
“Ok. Maybe just a bird.”
“Mm.”
“Ok," Ichigo concedes. "Maybe I’ll just leave that to you.”
