FINALLY, TIME TO STOP BEING SUBTLE. :D

Um. H-Hello, Moonsheen. I wrote "Hair of the Dog" for you.

Your lovely, lovely comment nearly killed me with blushing, seriously. Thank you so much for your kind words, and the pimping here on your LJ! I was so terrified that you wouldn't like it, ahaha. (We never actually interacted, I don't think, but we were in CFUD around the same time, by the way. I think? Unless I'm delusional.)

Which brings me to my next point. YOUR FIC IS AWESOME. I checked your LJ out when I got my assignment, and I got hooked. I really fell for your FFXII and Okami stuff, in particular, which surprised me, because I don't read a lot of video game fic. But anyway, I never expected to find great new writing through my recipient, so that was a lovely surprise. I was holding off on friending you for obvious reasons, but is it okay if I do that now?

Anyways, I'm rambling. Thank you so much for making my first Yuletide experience such a good one! ♥ ♥

- Becky

Oh wow! Yes, I remember you! I was Ichigo/Allen Walker in CFUD for a few months after it started, oh boy goodtimes. Please friend away! I would definately like to return the favor, as I've been dying to know who that person who can write such clever, clever fic is. ([livejournal.com profile] chirachira and me actually had a whole conversation about this. As we are wont to do. "WHO WROTE THIS. I HAVE TO READ MORE OF THIS PERSON'S STUFF." "ME. TOO.") I am glad you like my paltrey offerings to the videogame fen. Thank you very much for the lovely reveal! And once again for the AWESOME fic, as well.

Yes, that's right, I knew you were Allen! I had a handful of characters, but I barely ever played; I do not have the capacity to keep up with that kind of crack. XD

Ohmygoodness. ♥ You're too kind! Thank you! (And thank you to [livejournal.com profile] chirachira, too! *feels like such a fangirl right now, ahaha*)

Um, hi. You wrote the excellent and awesome "Works Cited" for me this Yuletide, and though I already thanked you profusely, I wanted to thank you some more, because that story made me so damn happy. It was sprawling and epic and perfectly characterized and just right and eee, meta!

*ahem*

Seriously, though, you hooked me from the moment I saw that you'd decided to frame the story with AJ Durai's research, because I love that kind of textual layering, and it works so well for Ivalice. You clearly know and love these characters and this world, and it came through so clearly in all the gorgeous details. I've reread the story about three times now, and I keep picking up new things each time. It's wonderful.

Anyway. Thank you again, and I think I need to go stalk you check out the rest of your fic now, because it looks like you have more Ivalice things. And I think [livejournal.com profile] mithrigil's mentioned you before, and anyone Mith likes can't be too bad. :D

Oh gosh, thanks. Fun fact: couple of days after I got your assignment I saw Mith mention you in one of her entries and thought just about the same thing!

Words do not describe how glad I am that you liked it! I was trying in a big pretentious way to capture the narrative style of the game (which was essentially AJ Durai's big fat dissertation) It helped I'd just picked up the remake, too! (NOW WITH READABLE DIALOGUE) So it was great fun to go back to the old standby, and greater fun to write.

One again, thank you for the fun request and the lovely rec. I'm glad to have spread the holiday cheer a bit. With grim Tactics fic. Er. Yes.

Well, grim Tactics fic gives me holiday cheer. I'm not sure what this says about me, but hey. Everyone's happy. Except perhaps the characters.

I need to pick up a copy of the PSP port. Maybe I can understand the plot without consulting outside sources this time around! (I love the game, but the PS translation is juuuust a notch or two above All Your Base Are Belong To Us.)
