Seven hours of FFX

Dear Anima, Magus Sisters, and Yojimbo:

You're all MY bitches now.

...even if you still scare me, Anima. But uh, at least you're not BLEEDING anymore like in your 'fiends go SQUISH' cutscene geez. And somehow you're just a lot purdier when you're unleashing Oblivion on the OTHER guys (and I wonder, that supposed to be Animus there? With the horns and the chainbreaking and snarling?) Also, your Fayth is hot and I am aware of exactly how wrong it is to say that. I hereby name you the Goth Aeon. And summon you against Cactaurs because IT AMUSES ME.

That is all.

Anima was so awesome. And so horrible. But yeah, really neat to look at. (And the Fayth was definitely hot.)

But you're so cruel to squish those poor Cactaurs with Anima, dammit. CACTAUR RIGHTS

The cactaurs give up all rights by being SO DAMN TWITCHY whenever I run into them. And for the record, after squishing the first Cactaur with Mommy Dearest I ran into a sand worm, and figured may try to get her into Overdrive and give that a spin, which was amusing for the entirely opposite reasons--bad monster movies come to mind.

I loved Anima too. It was my inner goth speaking to me. I would have been goth in HS, except I was too damn lazy. (BTW, I wonder why no one figured out that Seymour was not quite right in the head, if that was his personal summon)

You got, right, that that's his mother? It's her picture chained around Anima's neck, she who chose to die to make him more powerful. Given his family, it's really more of a wonder he's as sane as he is -- Bevelle must have been blinded to the honking great big warning signs just to let him in the gates.

"Mother... what have you done? MOTHERRRRRRRRRRRRR!"

Ladies and gentlemen, Maester Seymour in Hitchcock's masterpiece, Psycho.

Yep. If you really think about the story, too, you have to wonder about *her* sanity as well. Taking a eight-year old kid on the mission of certain death? Sounds like sound parenting practices.

I don't know, with all that talk of Spira being obsessed with death and the general attitude of the teachings of its main faith being eternal repentance and Death By Manatee, Anima probably fits in very well. Though true, how you can trust a man whose summon's special attack involves groaning and writhing at the enemy baffles me.

My girlfriend, when she got Anima, renamed her Fluffy. For the record.

Death by Manatee? It always looked like a gigantic whale to me. But you'd have to figure that the chains and the bondage would look a bit suspicious. It's too bad that I couldn't rename the attack "Angst."

XD

I wonder why no one figured out that Seymour was not quite right in the head...

I'll have you know that I didn't like Seymour from the moment I first saw him. I mean, c'mon! That hair? Give me a break! Blue hair that sticks out to there-- sure sign of a bad guy.

Actually, though, my favorite aeon was Shiva. Just because.

WAH WANT AEONS SO BAD. Got Yojimbo, and I heard something about the Magus Sisters becoming YOURS for the low low price of only $99,999 available from the fiend arena guy if you capture all the shit on Mt. Gagazet...

But right now I have to go send my characters further across the sphere grid so they DON'T DIE when they fight Seymour Flux.

[identity profile] moonsheen.livejournal.com 2004-05-09 10:09 am (UTC)(link)
Oh the Magus Sisters are completely worth the PAIN necessary in getting them.

I threw in the towel with Seymour Flux. Which basically involved me going 'Oh SCREW THIS' running around before meeting him getting all of my aeons into overdrive and NUKING THE FUCK OUT OF HIM first chance I got. Did wonders. Felt kind of cheap. But HAH. HAH he went DOWN.

(I like this game. It makes me crazy.)
